I’ve been meaning to start showing more fashion on the blog, and I thought what better way to do it than to round up some of my favorite outfits from the past year. I would describe my style as rather eclectic; my looks really very depending on what era/theme/etc I’m trying to channel.
I’m sharing where this clothing is from in case anyone is curious, but I do want to note that any mention of fast fashion outlets (Forever 21, Zara, H&M) are pieces from before I went on my fast fashion ban, which I started in January 2018. I would discourage you to purchase from these outlets due to planned obsolescence. You may notice that many of my pieces are from Paperdolls Boutique; this is a boutique I shop and work at in St. Louis and thus a lot of my clothing is from the. In addition to being aware of the damage of fast fashion, I implore you to when you can, #shoplocal.
Also, there is a little bit of missing time from months when I didn’t have a great mirror in the dorm rooms I was living in, but I ended 2019 in a new single with an AWESOME mirror placement–this has helped my outfit photos a ton and hopefully will continue into 2020 as well.

Some reflections on this:
- I love wearing dresses (I already knew that…but so many of my favorite outfits were dresses this year)!
- my Veja sneakers were a WORTHWHILE investment
- new brands/retailers I have introduced into my wardrobe in 2019 include Everlane, Veja, Blundstone, @poppyrosevintage, and Daisy Natives
- I miss having my leopard print coat at college–but it’s just not practical there. Being able to wear it over winter break was a treat!
- I’ve been LOVING my new flannel lined straight leg denim from Poppy Rose Vintage. You can’t tell they are flannel lined in these photos, but they are such a cute fit and are amazingly warm.
Do you enjoy fashion/outfits? What are your favorite things to wear?
