Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
This weeks top ten is “Top Ten Completed Series I Have Yet to Finish”
*I don’t put my Top Tens in any order.
I. The Mara Dyer Trilogy by Michelle Hodkin (Well, I’ve only ever read the first one, but am excited to keep going)
II. The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo (I actually just re-read Shadow and Bone so I can finish the series before delving into my ARC of Six of Crows)
III. The Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare (I read City of Bones probably five or six years ago and never continued with the series, but I should)!
IV. Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan (This one is just pure laziness. I truly want to read the books, I just-I don’t really know).
V. Daugher of Smoke and Bone Series by Laini Taylor (I feel less guilty about this series since I only read the first book last November, but the books are just so thick! I’ll probably tackle them sometime this winter).
VI. The Austin Family Series by Madeline L’Engle (I have such fond memories of the first book in this series and am not sure why I never continued, but I’d like to).
VII. The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis (I’m not sure how far I ever got in this series but I’m positive that I never finished it. It’s strange actually, because I at one time owned a cat named after one of the characters, Lucy).
VIII. The A Wrinkle in Time Quintet by Madeline L’Engle (I actually have no excuse for not finishing these books, considering the fact that A Wrinkle in Time was one of my favorite books as a child)!
IX. Unearthly Series by Cynthia Hand ( I often credit Unearthly as one of the first YA books that I ever read. It’s been a while though. I have faint memories of the second book but I don’t think that I ever made it to the third).
X. Delerium Series by Lauren Oliver (I’m pretty sure that I put off this series for a while because I didn’t own all the books. Well, know I do and I really should get on it).
What are your (completed) but unfinished series?
Lara says
Oh gosh…. You know how much all my unfinished series bother me! Daughter of Smoke and Bone, and the Delirium Trilogy are both series I also need to finish, along with maaany more… And then there are all the series I want to start as well – it’s a problem.
Bella says
Series intimidate me, especially when they are made up of such long books! Even so, I loved this TTT topic; it’s an excellent source of motivation, and it has reminded me of a few series I’ve simply forgotten about.
Mary says
I know right? I’m so much more of a standalone person. I actually really loved this topic too, although the guilt is so real! ;D
