You know how I said I was back, well that was before I got Allegiant. That required me to take some time off if you haven’t noticed.
First let’s just appreciate the amazing cover of Allegiant.
I remember when the cover was revealed and I was just all, *GAH!!!!!* I can’t believe that the book is already here and that I’ve already finished it!
Because this is the last book in the Divergent Trilogy, I suppose I should show you all the other covers as well.
I guess I should just get to it.

Review: *THIS BASICALLY SPOILS THE ENTIRE BOOK*
1) Oh my gosh I love this turn of events! I was so surprised that the factions were an experiment and the whole GP/GD was fascinating!
2) The characters and relationship strain/building in this book was fantastic! Veronica Roth has such a grasp on how people act that she makes them realistic her sharply strange dystopian world.
3) I was so annoyed with Tris and Four’s relationship troubles in Insurgent, but in here the were pleasing and made them seem so much more real!
4) I adored this book, and was not bored the entire time. Now here comes the big part
5) I DON’T THINK THAT I HAVE EVER BEEN SO BLINDSIDED BY AN AUTHOR IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!!!!! *Breath* I’M STILL IN SHOCK AND IT’S BEEN FIVE DAYS!!!!
6) *In hindsight, it was very much Tris’ character to do something like that, and I should have probably seen it coming, but alas, I did not.
7) I had very few problems with this book, but not to say I didn’t. First of all, I was a little confused about why Veronica decided to make Four not Divergent. Was it supposed to be a wedge between him and Tris? Second of all, I didn’t really take the whole Matthew/Nita distraction thing seriously. If that was the “other guy” Veronica talked about before the book was released, I’m surprised, because that aspect of it didn’t take up as much of the book as I would have expected from the way she made it sound. Third of all, the Epilogue was a little vague about what exactly happened to the Bureau, however, I kind of like the mystery of it.

I know people were pretty upset with Allegiant but I actually really liked it. It made sense for me why the characters that died, had to die. I think it was bold on Veronica’s part and I felt it stayed true to the characters. I didn’t like the bureau aspect at the end, what does it all mean on a larger context, because I think that’s the thing with Dystopians they have to have a point that makes sense to the story but also have a larger contextual meaning outside of the story… or at least to me 🙂
